Art for Charity / Des Oeuvres pour une Oeuvre
For over a year we have wished to organise an Art exhibition, asking artists if they would be prepared to show their works and in the event of a purchase donate half of the proceeds to a charitable cause.

19 artists heve responded, but due to Covid an actual exhibition was out of the question. Consequently we are now proposing this virtual exhibition ‘online’ as we maintain that the charitable causes are even more in need of help and assistance in these troubled and confined times.
​
The cause which we have chosen as a beneficiary on a 50/50 arrangement artist/charity is ‘La Jeunesse de Croissy, section Gymnastique Adaptée’, which was started 3 years ago to assist children from the ages of 3 - 14 years old with a mental or physical handicap. Full details of their work and activity are given on the following page.
We trust therefore that you will enjoy taking a leisurely stroll through our exhibition in the comfort and the safety of your home (and/or workplace), and that you will be enchanted by the works of art on display such as to be willing to purchase them.

If, however, like many of us, you no longer have any wall space for these works of art, you can always support our charity by making a small donation to them (via LCYH, who will issue you with a fiscal receipt for 66% of your donation). And please don't hesitate to share this exhibition with your family and friends. (If there are any works which they would like to have, you can then make a gift to them!)

DES OEUVRES POUR UNE OEUVRE

Cela fait plus d’un an que nous souhaitions organiser une exposition d’œuvres d’art, en demandant à des artistes s’ils seraient prêts à présenter leur travail et, dans le cas d’une acquisition, à faire don de la moitié de leur recette à une œuvre caritative.
Dix-neuf artistes ont répondu à notre appel, une véritable exposition dans la situation sanitaire actuelle était hors de question. Par conséquent, nous sommes heureux de proposer aujourd’hui une exposition virtuelle « en ligne » afin de subvenir aux besoins toujours croissants des associations caritatives dans le contexte troublé et confiné d’aujourd’hui.
L’association que nous avons choisie comme bénéficiaire d’un accord 50/50 Artiste/Œuvre est « La Jeunesse de Croissy, section Gymnastique Adaptée », qui a vu le jour il y a trois ans, et dont le but est de venir en aide aux enfants de 3 à 14 ans, porteurs d’un handicap physique ou mental. Voir le détail de leurs travaux et activités sur la page suivante.
Nous espérons que vous prendrez le temps de vous « promener » à travers notre exposition, dans le confort et la sécurité de votre domicile et/ou lieu de travail, et que vous serez suffisamment touchés par les différentes œuvres proposées pour les acquérir.
Toutefois, si, comme nombre d’entre nous, vous n’avez plus de place sur vos murs pour le moindre tableau, vous pouvez toujours soutenir le projet en faisant un don à l’association (via LCYH qui vous adressera un reçu fiscal correspondant à 66 % de votre don).
Enfin, n’hésitez pas à partager cette exposition virtuelle avec votre entourage. (Vous pourriez alors leur offrir l’œuvre qui les a touchés !)
